Animenation is having a contest for Christmas postcards. I decided to submit two and this is the second one. The girl is just a character I drew up for this image. This is actually the second version. In the first she wasn't smiling, but I changed it because I figure for a holiday postcard you would probably want happy. I meant for there to be a house as background, but as I started working, what you see now just kind of popped out. It is strange but somehow I really like it. The stark black and white versus the color in the window and use of negative space makes for a very interesting composition. Well, the contest goes on until September 30 so hopefully they will like at least one of my drawings.
