Kenshin's parents died when he was little and he was sold to slave traders. The slave band was attacked and everyone was killed. Little Kenshin would have been killed, also, had not Hiko Seijuurou wondered by and taken care of the villains. Hiko adopted Kenshin and taught him to be a master of the sword technique Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu. The Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu technique made Kenshin one of the most powerful swordsmen in Japan. At the young age of 13, Kenshin left his master to fight for the Ishin Shishi and help bring about the new Meiji era. His skill during the war and as an assassin earned him the feared name Hitokiri Battousai. After the war, haven taken countless lifes, the Hitokiri Battousai disappeared.

Ten years later, Kenshin reappeared as a rurouni carrying a sakabatou sword. He voweled to help protect people with his sword and never to take another life. His vowel, however, is not easily kept, as he is plagued by people wanting to fight, not the rurouni, but the Battousai and for a need to protect his loved ones. He is often at odds with his two distinct personalities. As a rurouni he is quiet, very polite, and says his trademark "oro" a lot. As the Battousai he is focused on one thing: killing his opponent. No matter how hard it gets Kaoru, his love, Sano, Yahiko, Megumi, and a ton of friends are always around to help him.

  • Ryu-Tsui-Sen - After jumping up to a higher level than my opponent, I come down with a crushing blow from above.
  • Ryu-Sho-Sen - I propel myself towards my opponent and upward, driving them backward into the air with my sakabatou.
  • Dou-Ryu-Sen - I strike the ground with such force that it cracks, blasting my opponent backwards.
  • Ryu-Kan-Zen-Tsumuji - I fly into the air at my opponent and deliver a powerful swing while spinning around them.
  • Battou-Jutsu - The stance and technique is an incredibly quick draw and slash of the sword. At first, the sword is sheathed, and the draw/attack is so quick that it can defeat an opponent in one stroke.
  • Ku-Zu-Ryu-Sen - This was the move taught to me by Master Hiko before I learned the sucession technique. With this move, the idea is to strike all 9 of my opponent's vital points at the same instant. This makes it impossible to defend against.
  • Amakakeru-Ryu-no-Hirameki - The ougi (succession technique) of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu. It is an extremely fast Battou-Jutsu accomplished by leading with the other foot. Since anyone using this technique puts their life in great danger, it can only be pulled off if your will to live is stronger than anything...
